Proposition K

After considerable committee work and discussion, the Board of Education voted on December 21, 2016, to put a no tax increase bond referendum on the April 4 ballot. The $11,750,000 request will be used for the purpose of renovating, expanding, improving, acquiring, constructing, furnishing and equipping school buildings and related school sites, including construction of an early childhood center, technology infrastructure, and security and energy efficiency improvements.

PROPOSITION K

Shall the Board of Education of the Meramec Valley R-III School District of Franklin, St. Louis and Jefferson Counties, Pacific, Missouri issue general obligation bonds in the amount of $11,750,000 for the purpose of renovating, expanding, improving, acquiring, constructing, furnishing and equipping school buildings and related school sites, including construction of an early childhood center and technology infrastructure, security and energy efficiency improvements?  If this proposition is approved, the debt service levy of the school district is estimated to remain unchanged from the current debt service levy of $0.88 per one hundred dollars assessed valuation of real and personal property.

The $11.7 million bond referendum for these facility improvements will result in no additional tax increase for patrons.
