Proposition K

On April 4 2017, Meramec Valley R-III Public Schools patrons will be asked to vote on Proposition K, an $11,750,000 bond issue.

After considerable committee work and discussion the Board of Education found it necessary and hereby declared its intent to borrow funds and to evidence such borrowing by the issuance of general obligation bonds. The debt service levy of the school district is estimated to remain unchanged from the current debt service levy of $0.88 per one hundred dollars assessed valuation of real and personal property. The ballot language approved by the Board of Education at the December 21, 2017 regular board meeting follows:

PROPOSITION K

Shall the Board of Education of the Meramec Valley R-III School District of Franklin, St. Louis and Jefferson Counties, Pacific, Missouri issue general obligation bonds in the amount of $11,750,000 for the purpose of renovating, expanding, improving, acquiring, constructing, furnishing and equipping school buildings and related school sites, including construction of an early childhood center and technology infrastructure, security and energy efficiency improvements?  If this proposition is approved, the debt service levy of the school district is estimated to remain unchanged from the current debt service levy of $0.88 per one hundred dollars assessed valuation of real and personal property.
