Engaging. Exciting. Empowering.

We’re proud to announce Pacific Intermediate formerly known as Meramec Valley Middle School earned Distinguished Project Lead The Way (PLTW) honor for the second consecutive year (2017-2018 and 2018-2019).  The former Meramec Valley Middle School began offering PLTW courses in 2014. PLTW recognizes districts and schools for achieving exemplary results in providing access, engagement, and achievement in the PLTW courses.  The Design and Modeling course has been offered to all Meramec Valley Middle seventh grade students. The core concepts of Design and Modeling allows students the opportunity to design and develop an understanding of the influence of creativity and innovation.  Students are challenged and empowered to use and apply what they’ve learned throughout the course to design a therapeutic toy for a child with cerebral palsy. The new middle school design that the district has adopted starting in the fall will allow students in grades 7 & 8 to enjoy a series of PLTW courses at Riverbend Middle School.  PLTW courses offered at Riverbend Middle School will include the Design and Modeling course along with Medical Technologies, and Flight and Space. Riverbend School began offering PLTW courses in 2014. Meramec Valley School District now offers PLTW courses in the elementary gifted program, at Riverbend Middle School, and at Pacific High School.  More information about PLTW can be found at
