The Meramec Valley R-III School Board is proud to announce approval of the Reimagine MVR-III initiative. Reimagine MVR-III is a one-year stakeholder engagement process designed to review and evaluate all aspects of the district’s programming in grades 7-12.
Redesign teams will be formed at both the middle and high school level. Each team will be tasked with evaluating existing programming and approaches currently in place, while exploring possible programming changes. The teams will explore topics such as: Work-based/Career education, scheduling, social/emotional supports, extra-curricular offerings, course options, grading practices, and more. Teams will consist of students, parents, community members, school board, administrators, and school staff.
Over the next few months, committee members will engage in programming research, participate in a “student for a day experience”, and spend time visiting other schools and programs. In addition, surveys will be administered to various stakeholder groups as it relates to programmatic opportunities.
The MVR-III School Board has tasked these committees with the development of recommendations for enhancing the overall learning experience at the middle and high school levels. The anticipated date for sharing these recommendations will be November 2020. The School Board will then use the feedback received to establish a multi-year implementation plan.

As such, we must be willing to examine current practices and programming for effectiveness and be willing to take needed steps that make the learning experience as relevant, meaningful, and impactful as possible. Reimagine MVR-III will help our school board better understand the curricular and programming desires our community.”
