Hello October

From the Desk of Dr. Sladek:

What a remarkable month September has been and we are here to embrace what the future holds for the month of October. Please join me in giving a huge shout out to teachers; they have been remarkable this first month of school and have been working relentlessly to ensure your student has the best possible experience for this school year. Our teachers at Truman Elementary are phenomenal and I am truly humbled to work alongside them. I watch them care for your students, reach out to you, and support all the ups and downs the first couple months of school brings as we learn each other and form our team mindset in order to conquer the rest of the year, TOGETHER!

I want to also thank YOU for your open communication and taking time out of your busy schedules to meet with your teachers. Discussing your student progress is so important, especially early on. Your child sees the importance of school, communication and a team approach when they see you taking time out to devote to their education. It is also heartwarming to see students light up with pride when they get to show off their school and their work and their progress…it is in that moment that I makes these late nights so worth it!

Dates to keep on your radar are noted on the calendar of the back of this newsletter!

Please be sure to contact me if you feel the need at any time!
