Pacific Intermediate 5th grader (and Zitzman Elementary alum) Mallory Landuyt was honored this morning as the winner of the 2025 Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) National Red Ribbon Week artwork contest. Her bookmark design was chosen in the grade 3-5 category from entries nationwide.
DEA agents, local first responders, students, and staff gathered for a Red Ribbon Week kick-off assembly. Students were also given a close-up look at local emergency vehicles, K-9 units, and more. A helicopter landing was even planned, although it had to be scratched due to the poor weather.
