JROTC

Three Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) students from Pacific High School are awarded college scholarships.  Cadet Commanding Officer Julia Thomas will be attending University of Missouri (MIZZOU) with a three-year Army scholarship with room and board for an approximate value of $240,000. Operations Officer Chase Fievet has been awarded a four-year full-ride Marine Corps / Navy scholarship also to MIZZOU totaling up to $280,000. Cadet Executive Officer Kiley Stahl received a $280,000 Army scholarship for three years including room and board at Maryville University. 

 The three Pacific HS students were selected from a national pool of highly qualified candidates. Ms. Thomas will major in animal sciences. Ms. Stahl will enroll in Maryville’s nursing program, while Mr. Fievet will major in History with a minor in foreign language. 

 These scholarships total up to nearly $800,000. All three cadets serve in key leadership billets within the JROTC program. The Marine Corps JROTC unit at Pacific instills citizenship, service, personal responsibility, leadership, and perseverance in their students. Chief Warrant Officer Brian Cain is the leader of Pacific High School’s JROTC.
