Welcome back for the 2021-22 school year!

As we prepare to start our new year, we want to keep student, staff, and families health as the priority. As such, our Open House event next Tuesday, August 17th, will require that all visitors to the building regardless of vaccination status be masked. This does change our original plans for the Ice Cream Social scheduled for incoming 5th grade students. We will no longer be serving the ice cream for students and parents at school so we can all be masked while on campus. Additionally, we will move the meeting to the 6th grade gym (main gym) so we can have more space. We encourage you to sit with your families and attempt to spread out between families. We look forward to seeing you on the 17th, and we appreciate your cooperation as we work to keep Pacific Intermediate a safe place.
All PI students are invited to attend Open House from 5:30-6:30 PM on August 17th. Wagner Portrait will be doing fall pictures from 5:30-6:30 PM as well, the link to order will be provided soon.
The entire staff is excited to see you soon! Enjoy the rest of your summer!

PI is excited to announce the following information regarding the 5th grade Ice Cream Social.

Dear Parents,
We are excited to share that our first day of Summer Discovery has been a success! This program is a time to allow students to be creative and work collaboratively with their peers. Lessons will primarily focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with off site field trips matching the grade level curriculum.
Summer Discovery Reminders
Be patient- buses may run early or late the first few days
Send a water bottle (no glass)
Be aware of school buses loading/unloading in parking lots
School hours: June 2-30, 7:30 a.m. - 2:35 p.m.
The Pacific Intermediate main office is under construction and not in the normal location. Please call the school if you need office assistance, and we would be glad to help you.
Parent Drop Off Procedures
Parents dropping off should enter from Osage Street and pull into the roundabout to drop off their student near door A19, and exit the roundabout by turning to the right. Parents will merge with the incoming bus traffic, exit the campus by heading towards Zitzman, and exit either by turning left and going around the track or going up the hill past Zitzman. Drop off is a one-way route to ensure student safety.
Parent Pick Up Procedures
Parents picking up should enter from Osage Street and pull into a parking space. Bus riders will be dismissed first (they will be dismissed in one run and it will take approximately 5-8 minutes), then any students who are being picked up will be dismissed. All students need to use the crosswalk to cross into the parking spaces. Parents will exit campus by heading towards Zitzman, and exit either by turning left and going around the track or going up the hill past Zitzman. Pick up is a one-way route to ensure student safety.
Summer Discovery News
Parents are encouraged to follow the Summer Discovery site’s web pages and district app for parent updates. All other Summer Discovery announcements will be posted on the district’s Summer Discovery webpage at https://www.mvr3.k12.mo.us/o/mvriii/page/summer-discovery.
SACC Program Information
Students attending the SACC Program will use that site’s SACC entrance for morning drop off and evening pick up. Pacific Intermediate SACC is located on the south side of the building adjacent to the Zitzman playground. All programs have a separate entrance with a SACC sign located at that entrance. Parents will use the SACC door bell to gain access. Contact Krysten Agee, SACC Coordinator at (636) 346 -2161 if you have questions about the program.
Thank you for choosing the Meramec Valley R-III Summer Discovery Program for your child(ren) to attend for the month of June.
Sincerely,
Pacific Intermediate Summer Discovery Administration
