In honor of Earth Day, students in Ms. McKinsey and Ms. Cayla’s classes learned about air, land, and water pollution, and how they can make a difference! 🌎
After their classroom discussions, students put their learning into action by teaming up to collect trash around the Pacific Intermediate fence and the Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center. 🧤
They were excited to help care for our environment and make our community a cleaner place!

Breakfast Club and Lunch Bunch with Ms. Amy is a favorite monthly tradition at Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center. 💜
Each month, teachers select students who demonstrate the value of the month, and in April, the focus is on being patient. These special gatherings offer time to share a meal, connect, and recognize how students are growing both academically and socially.
Students shared how they have practiced patience by waiting their turn, working through challenges, and showing understanding with friends.
These everyday moments are helping build important life skills! 👏

Students at Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center had a special hands-on learning experience in Ms. Tonya’s class as they watched baby chicks hatch right in their classroom. From observing the eggs in the incubator to seeing the chicks arrive, students were engaged every step of the way! 🐣
They explored the empty shells, asked thoughtful questions, and learned about how living things grow and change. Students also practiced gentle care as they held the chicks, showing responsibility and kindness throughout the experience.
The excitement continued as classes across the building had the opportunity to meet the new chicks, spreading curiosity and joy among students.
Moments like these bring learning to life through discovery, care, and connection. 💜

Students at Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center enjoyed a joyful egg hunt made possible by our High School Student Council! 🙌
StuCo members took time to stuff and hide eggs across campus, creating a fun and memorable experience for our youngest learners.
The excitement was evident as students searched, discovered, and celebrated each find. Beyond the fun, the event highlighted the strong sense of connection across grade levels, as younger students looked up to the high school leaders who made it all happen.

Last Day to buy your Cardinals baseball tickets!

Thank you to all voters who participated in the April 7 election and took the time to consider Prop S.
On Tuesday, the unofficial results for Prop S, the proposed no tax rate change bond issue for the Meramec Valley R-III School District, showed 56.5% voter approval, falling short of the 57.14% required for passage by 22 votes.
This outcome means we will not be moving forward at this time with plans to construct a new middle school or address the identified facility needs across our schools, including important safety and security upgrades.
The Board of Education and administration remain committed to exploring options to address the district’s facility needs. We will continue engaging with community members and staff as we determine next steps and evaluate future solutions.
We appreciate your continued support of our students, staff, and schools.

Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center was filled with smiles as we welcomed grandparents and special guests into the building. 🤗

Last week brought a little extra excitement to Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center as the playground was under construction for a new shade structure! ☀️
Students had a front-row seat to the action, turning the experience into real-world learning filled with curiosity about tools, teamwork, and safety.
While routines shifted, teachers made the most of every moment by creating new opportunities for outdoor exploration. Students enjoyed campus walks, snack time outside, tracing shadows, and practicing drawing and writing with sidewalk chalk.
What could have been a disruption became a meaningful time for creativity, learning, and connection! 💜
