Each year, students from across the country submit their writing to a national contest hosted by Young Writers USA—a competitive opportunity that showcases creativity, voice, and originality. Thousands of entries are reviewed, and only a select number are chosen for publication. This year's crime and mystery writing contest will have work published by two students from Ms. Pfitzer's creative writing class, Ellie Burd and Keira King. Their writing stood out among submissions from students nationwide, demonstrating not only strong technical skill, but also imagination, dedication, and a willingness to share their perspectives. Being selected for publication is no small accomplishment, and it reflects the hard work they have put into developing their craft.
Congratulations Ellie and Keira!
