The Pacific High School Speech Team delivered an outstanding performance at the state speech meet held in Springfield on the Missouri State University campus, showcasing their talent and dedication among the best competitors in Missouri.
Five team members qualified for the state competition following a strong showing at the district meet. Each competitor faced off against the top 32 performers in their respective events across the state, making their achievements even more impressive.
Keira King earned a 12th-place finish in Storytelling, while the duo of Christian Everhart and Kylee Myers secured 10th place in Duet Acting.
Three Pacific students advanced to the highly competitive Championship Round. Isabella Babb placed 8th in Prose Reading, while Christian Everhart and Aiden Ashe both achieved remarkable 3rd-place finishes in their events—Radio Speaking and Humorous Interpretation, respectively.
Coach Fleming expressed immense pride in the team’s accomplishments, praising their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.
