Over the spring and summer PHS has been undergoing some building renovations that will improve the flow of services to students. This month the spotlight is on the new weight room. The old commons, also known as the old cafeteria, was transformed into an amazing new weight room/training facility.
One of our new physical education teachers at the high school, Mr. Paul Day had this to say, “The weight room has everything we could ever need to become stronger, more athletic students & athletes. The weight room itself is incredible and the turf area allows us an area to work change of direction as well as core no matter what kind of weather we are having. We are very fortunate to such a great facility.”
With the ever increasing focus on health and fitness of all students, the new weight/training room is a great addition. The reaction from students has been extremely positive. The new facility is bright and sophomore Izach Reeder says, “it is a much more inviting place to come work out.”
