Students learned that a good citizen follows rules, helps others, shows respect, and takes care of their community. To wrap up the lesson and make their promise to be good citizens, each student signed the class constitution.

Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring pairs volunteers age 50 and older with students in grades K-3 for one-on-one support each week throughout the school year. Volunteers may work with one child or several students, serving as tutors, mentors, and friends while helping students strengthen their reading and math skills and build meaningful relationships.
Volunteer training will be held Thursday, October 8, from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the MVR-III Central Office.
