Today, half of our school went to Oasis Lanes in Union to celebrate a successful 3rd trimester and school year. There was not frown to be found. I asked every student if they had fun and the answer was a resounding YES! The other half will go tomorrow.

When I was in the library today, I noticed that some of our classes had a “camping” day. They used flashlights to read. There was even a campfire. Students were very engaged in their learning.

It may have been delayed by weather for a week, but there was no stopping our MVR-III staff and students from participating in and celebrating the 7th Annual Special Education Field Day today. Established for special needs students across the district, the 2024 edition was coordinated by co-chairs Stacy Kloeppel, Cathy Bearden, Erin Tesar, and Jordan Garlik. Participants are matched with PHS student buddies, and they are free to experience stations on the stadium field for gross motor skills, sports, sensory areas, face painting, and much more. The outpouring of care and support from staff, students, volunteers, and sponsors makes #MVNation second to none! Video: https://youtu.be/0cyQdjLk5tg
