Zitzman Elementary 1st graders wrapped up their History of the Earth unit with a celebration. Students became paleontologists for the day, carefully excavating a dinosaur hidden inside a rock! 🦖

Students in Miss Murray’s 3rd grade class at Zitzman Elementary are building their multiplication fluency and putting their skills to the test!

These students have mastered their multiplication mini assessments, demonstrating focus, determination, and hard work.

Students in Mrs. Brunjes’s 3rd grade math class at Zitzman Elementary worked collaboratively to explore shapes with equal parts!

Students strengthened their understanding of fractions while building problem-solving skills. 📐

Enrollment is now open for the Summer Discovery Program at MVR-III, a 4-week summer learning experience. ☀️

Summer Discovery will be held Monday through Friday, June 1-30, and is completely FREE. Incoming K-8 students are invited to join a fun-filled month of STEM-based games, exciting field trips, engaging activities, and plenty of fun!

Summer Discovery sites include:

👉 Pacific Intermediate
👉 Riverbend Middle School

Sign up by March 31 to guarantee your student’s spot! Enrollments received after March 31 will be placed on a waiting list.

Schools will be closed Monday, Jan. 26, due to road conditions and the forecasted extreme cold. All district activities are also canceled. This is our 2nd traditional snow day. Stay safe and warm!

Save the date! The 1st grade music program is Thursday, April 9th in the Zitzman Elementary gym. Doors open at 5:30, and the program starts at 6pm. See you then!

Mark your calendars! The 2nd grade music program "Creepy Carrots" will be March 12th in the Zitzman Elementary Gym. The doors open at 5:30 and the program will begin at 6pm. In an effort to keep all MVR-III students and staff safe, the district has made the decision to implement an early dismissal today. The latest weather updates indicate that the incoming weather system will arrive earlier than originally expected.

All previously scheduled after-school activities, including all afternoon classes at the Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center, have been canceled.

Early Dismissal Schedule:

* Grades 5-12: Will dismiss at 1:00 PM

* Grades K-4: Will dismiss at 2:15 PM

* SACC: Will close at 5:00 PM
