Thank you to all voters who participated in the April 7 election and took the time to consider Prop S.

On Tuesday, the unofficial results for Prop S, the proposed no tax rate change bond issue for the Meramec Valley R-III School District, showed 56.5% voter approval, falling short of the 57.14% required for passage by 22 votes.

This outcome means we will not be moving forward at this time with plans to construct a new middle school or address the identified facility needs across our schools, including important safety and security upgrades.

The Board of Education and administration remain committed to exploring options to address the district’s facility needs. We will continue engaging with community members and staff as we determine next steps and evaluate future solutions.

We appreciate your continued support of our students, staff, and schools.

Pacific High School DECA continues to make an impact at the state and international levels through the achievements of our dedicated students! 🌟

Grant Orris and Parker Thomas have advanced to the International Career Development Conference, where they will compete in the Sports and Entertainment Team event in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 25.

Gabriella Guenzler will also attend the International Career Development Conference as a voting delegate, representing Missouri and helping shape the future of DECA through leadership, advocacy, and service. Her work this year as District 8 Vice President included supporting district-wide initiatives, charitable efforts for MDA, and participation in the Career and Technical Student Organization Legislative Day in Jefferson City, Missouri.

In addition, PHS DECA was recognized with the Chapter Campaign Thrive Level Award at the State Career Development Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 24. This honor highlights outstanding chapter engagement within the school, community, and alumni network. Only three schools in Missouri received this distinction!

We are proud of these students for their leadership, dedication, and representation of PHS. 💟
