The Meramec Valley R-III School District is pleased to announce details for the 2026 Homecoming festivities. This yearโs theme, โReality TV Edition,โ will bring students, staff, and the school community together for a week of school spirit, themed activities, and Homecoming celebrations.
Homecoming Spirit Week will take place Monday, September 28, through Friday, October 2. Students and staff are encouraged to participate in the daily dress-up themes, which are inspired by popular reality television shows. The week will also feature a Powderpuff football game, the Homecoming Parade, and the Homecoming football game.
Friday, October 2 will be a half-day, which will allow all students, staff, and school groups the opportunity to participate in the Homecoming Parade at 2:30 p.m. that afternoon. Pacific High School will be featuring tailgating activities, which will include food trucks starting at 5:00 p.m. directly behind PHS, followed by a 7:00 p.m. football game kickoff versus Owensville.

Homecoming Parade Route
The parade will travel down West Union Street, make a right onto First Street, turn right onto St. Louis Street, then turn right onto South 6th Street, to end on West Union Street near the Pacific Fire Department.
Floats, trailers, trucks, and vehicles entered in the parade will need to check-in and enter Zitzmanโs parking lot from Payne Street. Participants being dropped off or picked up will enter off of Osage Street onto the Pacific Intermediate parking lot. Drivers will loop around and exit onto Osage Street.

Is there an entry fee?
There is no entry fee for parade participants. However, space is limited and school organizations will be given first priority.
Is parking provided for participants?
Limited parking is available in the Pacific Intermediate parking lot for adults participating in the parade. Parking will open at 1:45 p.m.
How will K-12 students participating in the parade get to the parade line up?
Buses will transport students and their school sponsors from their school to Pacific Intermediate to participate in the parade. After the parade, students must ride the same bus to return to their home school.
How will my student(s) get to the parade line up if they are participating in the parade with a non-school sponsored organization (Example: Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts)?
Parents will be responsible for transporting their child(ren) to Pacific Intermediate for the parade line up, if they are participating in a non-school sponsored float.
Will the School Age Child Care (SACC) Program be open?
No, afternoon SACC will be closed. However, SACC students may participate in a SACC sponsored float by completing the activity permission slip sent home by each SACC Site Coordinator. If SACC students stay to participate in the parade, they must be picked up at their home school immediately after the parade at 3:45 p.m.
What will be offered at the PHS Homecoming tailgating event?
Pacific High School is soliciting food trucks and vendors to participate in the tailgating. Food and drinks will be available directly behind PHS. Contact Blair Thompson at (636) 271-1414 to register as a vendor.
