The District Safety Committee consists of 40+ group members including administrators, teachers, parents, counselors, Board Members, emergency responders, etc. The committee is led by the assistant superintendent of of Human Resources and the Director of Support Services/Maintenance. The committee reviews and makes recommendations on services. The committee reviews and makes recommendations on current policies and procedures and updates them as needed to ensure that a comprehensive plan for Crisis Management and Emergency Preparedness is in place. The District’s Maintenance Department is designed to provide maintenance, custodial, construction/renovation, grounds and safety services for the Meramec Valley R-III School District. The department maintains 2 secondary schools, 6 elementary schools, 1 early childhood building site, 1 special services site, as well as several non-student occupied buildings. This includes approximately 595,983 building square footage and 175.1 approximate acreage.
