Pacific Intermediate 5th grade science classes are diving deep into the mechanics of our planet! 🌎

Students recently completed a hands-on lab exploring Earth’s rotation by creating and using handmade sundials to observe the relationship between the sun’s position and the passage of time.

As they tracked the movement of shadows, students developed an understanding of why we experience day and night. 🌓

The Jag Club at Pacific Intermediate is an organization that focuses on student leadership and community service. Coordinated visits to local facilities like the Pacific Care Center are designed to get students actively involved in their immediate community. This particular event allowed students to interact with an older demographic while providing a structured, engaging morning activity for the care center residents. Following the final round of bingo and the distribution of prizes, the students packed up and returned to Pacific Intermediate for their regular class schedule. Smiles were everywhere as the students and residents enjoyed their donuts and conversation!

Families can still register incoming kindergarteners for the 2026-27 school year! 🎉

Members of Pacific Intermediate’s Crystal Club were rocking their geology exploration as they carefully used tools to crack open ordinary-looking geodes and reveal sparkling crystals inside. 💎✨

Students discovered that you cannot always judge a geode by its cover, as some were filled with clear quartz while others revealed beautiful smoky layers. It was a smashing success as students explored geology firsthand and uncovered the hidden treasures beneath their feet!

Our Pacific Intermediate Student Ambassadors, alongside club leaders Ms. Speicher and Ms. Stumborg, wanted to do something special to help spread love throughout our school community. 💕

They created a “Spread Love” bulletin board, on which students wrote postcards sharing simple, meaningful ways to show kindness and care for others. From small acts of encouragement to thoughtful gestures, the board quickly filled with reminders of how each of us can make a difference.

This display is a beautiful reflection of what it means to be positive, supportive members of our school community every single day. 💌
