#MVNation, it's not too early to plan your wardrobe for Red Ribbon Week. Students & staff will celebrate being drug-free starting next Monday! #RedRibbonWeek #GrowingTogether

Riverbend Middle School Ambassadors recently attended the Franklin County Teen Drug Summit. Hearing firsthand from people who have experienced the consequences of poor decisions, such as driving under the influence or struggling with addiction, had a powerful impact. Events like these not only emphasize the importance of making responsible choices but also demonstrate how those choices can have lasting effects on their own futures and on the people around them. It was a valuable experience for the students, helping them to reflect on the significance of their actions today in shaping their future outcomes.

🚍 Bus Safety Awareness 🚍
Let's keep our kids safe as they head to and from school! Whether you’re a driver, a student, or a parent, bus safety is everyone’s responsibility. Here are some key tips:
🛑 For Drivers:
Stop for school buses – Never pass a stopped bus with flashing lights.
Slow down in school zones – Be mindful of children crossing streets.
Stay alert – Avoid distractions and keep an eye out for kids near bus stops.
🎒 For Students:
Stand back – Stay at least 10 feet away from the curb while waiting.
Cross safely – Always wait for the driver’s signal and look both ways before crossing.
Stay seated – Remain seated while the bus is in motion and keep the aisles clear.
👪 For Parents:
Teach safety rules – Make sure your children know how to get on and off the bus safely.
Set a good example – Show kids the importance of paying attention to traffic and following bus rules.
Together, we can ensure that every school day starts and ends safely. 🚌✨

It's National School Bus Safety Week. Please drive safely around our buses, as they are transporting the most important resource in #MVNation - our students!

📱 In today’s digital world, it’s important to set clear, healthy boundaries around social media use for children. Helping kids manage their time online promotes healthier habits, encourages meaningful connections, and protects their well-being. Here’s why setting boundaries is essential:
✨ Improves Mental Health & Well-Being - Limiting screen time reduces exposure to negative influences, online pressure, and distractions, helping kids stay focused and emotionally balanced.
✨ Promotes Digital Responsibility - Teaching children about appropriate online behavior and privacy helps build a strong foundation for responsible digital citizenship.
Let's keep #GrowingTogether, #MVNation!
