Do you know someone age 50 or older who would enjoy helping a child build confidence and succeed in reading and math? 📚✨
Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring pairs volunteers age 50 and older with students in grades K-3 for one-on-one support each week throughout the school year. Volunteers may work with one child or several students, serving as tutors, mentors, and friends while helping students strengthen their reading and math skills and build meaningful relationships.
Volunteer training will be held Thursday, October 8, from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the MVR-III Central Office.

Riverbend Middle School celebrated its new track with a ribbon-cutting! 🎉
The new track provides students with an updated space to practice, compete, and stay active throughout the school year. We are excited to see students make memories and reach new goals on this new addition to their school.

Riverbend Middle School Trailblazers had their first Tribe visit with 7th grade students! 🎉
During the visit, they introduced themselves and kicked off a Tribe Poster Activity, where students get to design a theme or mascot that represents their Tribe.

Riverbend Middle School Summer Discovery students visited Robertsville State Park for an engaging outdoor learning experience! 💚
Students explored the park and learned about recreational opportunities such as fishing and hiking while discovering more about the natural environment around them.
They also attended a presentation highlighting our local bat population!

Riverbend Middle School students recently welcomed Deputy Jonathon Stack from the Franklin County Narcotics Enforcement K9 Unit for a special visit.
Deputy Stack shared important safety information, talked about his role in law enforcement, and introduced students to his K9 partner, Kilo. 🐾💜
