Riverbend Middle School students explored hands-on learning during the annual Skills Day held on Friday, May 1. 🤝

With 26 local businesses participating, students had the opportunity to experience a wide range of practical skills and potential career paths through interactive demonstrations.

Throughout the day, students stayed actively engaged as they made beeswax candles, practiced fire safety techniques, prepared pizza, and tried their hand at woodworking.

Mrs. Alt shared that the goal of Skills Day is to help students build a stronger understanding of real-life skills they can carry with them into the future. 💜

The Community Service students at Riverbend Middle School have developed an inspiring, community-wide service project to support local families in need. ♥️

Through the “Miles That Matter” initiative, students are working to collect 2,448 non-perishable food items in honor of the 100th anniversary of Route 66!

Community members can help by dropping off a non-perishable food item at one of the following local businesses:

👉 Little Ireland
👉 Off The Rails
👉 Brown Jerry’s
👉 Citizens Bank
👉 B and H Market

Every donation makes a difference, and we appreciate the support in helping us reach this meaningful goal.

For questions or to learn more, please contact Mark Mulligan at mmulligan@mvr3.k12.mo.us.
