It may have been delayed by weather for a week, but there was no stopping our MVR-III staff and students from participating in and celebrating the 7th Annual Special Education Field Day today. Established for special needs students across the district, the 2024 edition was coordinated by co-chairs Stacy Kloeppel, Cathy Bearden, Erin Tesar, and Jordan Garlik. Participants are matched with PHS student buddies, and they are free to experience stations on the stadium field for gross motor skills, sports, sensory areas, face painting, and much more. FACS students participated in a cupcake decorating contest today. The theme was beach/ocean. There was a lot of creativity demonstrated by students! Congrats Kenzy and Katie for being our top two winners!

Riverbend Middle School students participated in the 2nd Annual Student Skills Day on April 24th. Twenty-six area businesses and individuals came to the school to showcase their knowledge to students. Students learned about budgeting, first aid, where our food comes from, how to use a fire extinguisher, how to change a flat tire, car detailing, gardening body care, entrepreneurship, and so much more! We appreciate these businesses giving up their time for our students!

Today Riverbend Middle School students had the opportunity to attend three different sessions to learn about different career options. Students were able to ask questions and perform some hands-on activities. Thank you to all of our presenters, as well as Mrs. Alt for organizing this event.

Riverbend Middle students in Ms. Miles' Exploring Digital Media class write, record, and publish a weekly news report for students and staff. Segments include an interview with a teacher, weather, sports, a fun interaction with students or teachers, and a weekly riddle. #MVNation

Yesterday, the Riverbend Community Service students had an awesome day at Zitzman Elementary. Our students helped with the kindergarten classes. It was a very fun visit.
This morning 8th Grade Students from Riverbend Middle School visited the high school. There, the PHS Ambassadors guided our students through the halls and talked to them about different areas, activities and things to expect. After the tour, students then ate lunch before heading back to RMS. Thank you to everyone at the high school for helping to make sure our students have a smooth transition.
