Our very own Riverbend PE Teacher, Melanie Missey is a devoted wife to Danny Missey, a loving mom to 2-year-old Tatum, & Pacific’s Head Girls Basketball Coach. She has been courageously battling Stage 2B Breast Cancer since her diagnosis on April 14th. She completed 6 rounds of chemo on August 16th, right before the start of the school year. September 13th she underwent surgery to hopefully remove the tumors. But her journey doesn't stop there, she will have several weeks of radiation and finish off with 12 weeks of maintenance injections.
To remind her that NO-ONE fights alone and that WE stand with her… please save the date for a special benefit event in support of Melanie Missey on the National Breast Cancer Awareness Day, October 13th. Stay tuned for more information, which will be shared soon. All proceeds will go towards supporting Melanie in her courageous battle against breast cancer. Let's come together as a community and show our love and support for Melanie and her family.
