Today, we held our 2nd Trimester Awards Assembly. Congratulations to the awards winners. We are so proud of you and all of our students at Coleman Elementary.
Passage of Proposition M will positively impact every student in the MVR-III School District. This No Tax Increase bond issue will provide funds for a new 7th/8th grade building and provide a better learning space for students in grades 5 & 6. Upon completion of a new middle school, this project would immediately affect over 800 students in grades 5 - 8. However, all future students at grades 4 and below would ultimately benefit from the improved learning spaces provided by Prop M. #MVNation #MovingForwardTogether

MVR-III is offering a 4-week summer learning program for incoming K-8 students. Summer Discovery is scheduled for Monday-Friday, June 2-27. It includes hands-on STEM based games, activities, and free field trips for students in grades 1-8 (Kindergarten students will have onsite presentations). Mrs. Fingers’ Coleman Elementary Preschoolers have been learning about animals & used their knowledge to complete tasks during center time. These learning activities included building shelters for their animals and taking care of them at the vet clinic! #MVNation #GrowingTogether
In celebration of Kindness Week, students and staff were challenged to collect boxes of cereal to be donated to local food pantries. Our school collected 270 boxes. These were donated to St. Vincent DePaul and the Agape House in Pacific. Congratulations Coleman Warriors!!

MVR-III Building Support Staff & Teacher of the Year recipients at Coleman Elementary & Riverbend Middle School were notified of their honor this week. Staff at each building nominate and vote for their peers when deciding this award. Well-deserved recognition for all of these outstanding employees!
Due to the forecast of ice and snow along with the timing of the winter storm, Meramec Valley R-III School District is canceling school for Wednesday, February 12.
This morning, we kicked off Kindness Week with an all school circle time. Students shared with each other what kindness means to them and when someone has been kind to them. Circle time is a very important time in the school day. It allows are students to feel heard, valued, increases engagement, and promotes a positive learning environment.
MVR-III provides Kindergarten screenings for students kindergarten-eligible in the 2025-26 school year. Screenings are hosted at Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center unless noted. Both daytime (8:45 AM - 3 PM) and evening (4:30 - 6:30 PM) slots are available. Daytime dates are March 3, March 24 (at Coleman), April 7 (at Nike), & April 28. Evening dates are March 27 & April 15.
