Read Across America week gave Nike Scouts an opportunity to expand our love of reading. Yesterday, we did buddy reading with different grades. #MVNation







Congratulations to Mrs. Sarah Pettus, who was recognized as the Nike Support Staff member of the year. Mrs. Pettus, our school secretary, always has a smile on her face and kind words to say. She is very helpful to staff and students and goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly in the office and throughout the school. She is very positive and truly cares about every person in the building. We are lucky to have her at Nike!

Today was Twin Day! We had so many twins walking around school today. Tomorrow is Wear Green to celebrate Green Eggs and Ham. #MVNation

During our March assembly, there were class awards for top 3 attendance (Ms. Katrina, Mrs. Terreri and Mrs. Thompson), cleanest class room (Mrs. Harris), best assembly manners (Mrs. Gann) and best cafeteria manners (Mrs. Burt)! We have amazing Nike Scouts who do their best everyday. #MVNation






Congratulations to Poppy Parker for being selected as our Nike Elementary Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Parker is a veteran Speech & Language Therapist. She is always so positive and uplifting. Mrs. Parker loves her students and treats all students in the building as her own. She sets high expectations and believes in her students' abilities to reach success. She is always positive, is an active listener for staff, and is just an overall helpful part of the Nike team. Congratulations Mrs. Parker! #mvnation

Today at 1pm, the whole school did a fun activity together. We did a Stop. Drop. and Read. Students either read independently or the teacher read a book to the class. Nike Scouts love reading. #MVNation










Nike Scouts kicked off Read Across America week in CrAzY socks. Tomorrow wear red or blue to celebrate One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish. #MVNation










Nike had wonderful attendance on Friday! There were so many classes with 100% attendance! Remember, every MINUTE you are at school matters!

First grade is getting ready for March Madness, Picture Book style! We will keep you posted on which books end up in the Final Four! What was your favorite book as a child? #mvnation

First grade helped create an anchor chart about suffixes. Ask your child about adding -ed to words. Ask them to type out the word to hear all of its parts! #MVNation




2nd grade ended 2nd Trimester with a glow lesson. The lesson was on text evidence where we searched for key words to find the answers to the questions in the passages. #MVNation









Fourth grade is starting their opinion writing by using a graphic organizer to organize their thoughts. #MVNation
