Coach Missey’s Kindergarten class kicked off gym class with fun warm-up exercises! Students worked on building muscular strength through activities like scissor kicks and planks. Way to go, kindergarten! 💪⭐

Nike Elementary students go outside daily for recess and movement. Please check the forecast and send your child with a coat, hat, and gloves so they stay warm and comfortable.
Just a reminder: Below are the cold weather guidelines we follow to determine when it is safe for students to go outside (St. Louis Children’s Hospital):
*10°F or below: Indoors
*10–20°F: 5 minutes outside
*20–32°F: 10–15 minutes outside
*32–90°F: Normal outdoor recess

On Wednesday, we celebrated reaching our second Beanstack goal—75,000 minutes logged so far this year!
To mark the occasion, students tapped into their creativity by building their ideal reading and relaxation spaces out of LEGO bricks. The designs were imaginative, thoughtful, and full of great ideas—we loved seeing them all!
We have one more goal to reach this year: 160,000 minutes by May 11th.
Let’s keep reading and logging those minutes. Let’s go, Nike Scouts!

Mrs. Pogue’s 1st grade class at Nike Elementary kicks off each day with a cheerful morning meeting filled with smiles, friendly hellos, and warm greetings. It’s a fun way to build connections, start the day together, and get ready to learn!

Fourth grade is excited to write a story. Some students are brainstorming while others are writing their first draft. Some are typing their final draft today. Ask your 4th grader about their cowboy/girl story!
Mrs. Chasen’s 1st grade class is diving into early American civilizations and loving it! They’re currently learning about the Maya civilization and showing their understanding with thumbs up and thumbs down!
Learning vowels + playing Boggle = spelling fun! Mrs. Calvird’s 2nd grade class is mastering short and long vowel sounds one word at a time!
Second grade is working on a mixed media castle. They printed using paint and a piece of cardboard. They then colored the geometric shapes with oil pastel.

First grade had fun learning how to write their name using Cuneiform from Mesopotamia and Heiroglyphics from Ancient Egypt after learning about those countries.
Ms. McPherson’s third grade class wrapped up their Viking Quest with a gallery walk this week! Students rotated through groups, explored each resource they studied, and wrote down important information to show what they learned. It was a fun and interactive way to review their learning!
