Nike Elementary would like to extend their THANKS to all Substitute Educators today! With your help, learning can continue to take place when regular classroom teachers are away. We are very blessed to have a handful of wonderful subs in our building! 💜

Many students and their families donated non-perishables to Nike's Food Drive and New Beginnings Lutheran Church supplied B & H gift cards and dinner rolls. Nike 3rd graders recently became taxonomists during a CKLA unit about Animal Classifications! These Scouts got to choose an animal and become experts by writing up their field research. They learned about the animal’s habitat, whether the animal is warm or cold-blooded, and if it is considered a vertebrate or invertebrate. Many fun and interesting facts were discovered as well. Students were very excited for their work to be displayed in the hallways and shared with parents, other students, and staff! #GrowingTogether
Nike and Robertsville received a generous donation from Masonic Lodge #363. This monetary donation will go towards students' clothing, shoes, and hygene needs.

Nike Elementary was honored to host a Veterans Day celebration today! We were fortunate to have Veterans from some Nike families join us for breakfast and a program. Nike Scouts & Staff would like to thank our Vets for attending this morning and for their service to our country! We greatly appreciate them!!

Our thoughts are with each of you as we navigate the flooding affecting our community. To prioritize the safety of our students and staff, the Meramec Valley R-III School District will be closed on Thursday, November 7th, and Friday, November 8th.
During this challenging time, we encourage our staff who are able or willing to volunteer to lend a hand to neighbors, help with sandbagging, or join cleanup efforts once the waters recede. Together, our community will emerge stronger by supporting one another.

This morning, students were able to stop by "the polls" in Nike's foyer and cast their vote for which movie to watch on Friday of this week to celebrate the ending of 1st Trimester. Our Scouts were very excited to hear the results this afternoon before dismissal took place. The movie winner is... The Emoji Movie!!! 🙂
