On Tuesday of this week, your Nike Scout attended our monthly Character Assembly. Students were introduced to another Core Value: Collaboration! Dr. Tollison and her 4th Grade Leaders used a skit to display some good examples of working well with others. At the end of our assembly, many students from each grade level were awarded with Positive Office Referrals. We are so proud of them for being great role models and Nike Scout Leaders! 💜

Today is School Custodian Appreciation Day! We would like to extend our gratitude to Mr. Mike, Ms. Lynda, and Mr. Jay for all that they do. We are thankful to have a clean, functioning, and safe school because of these three!

Nike 3rd graders have just finished up a unit on Classic Tales! During their studies, students learned about personification and how to depict it by looking for certain language used in the literature. To celebrate and review, these Scouts got to have a fancy tea party, just like in Alice in Wonderland. Pinky fingers were definitely out! ☕🍪
Students in 1st grade have been learning about fables and folktales! Such stories help increase their vocabulary and teach some valuable lessons, too. To reflect on all of their learning, these Nike Scouts got to create a puppet of their favorite character AND they got to participate in their very own Fable Olympics! So fun!!
