Each month we award different classes for Cleaniest Classroom, Best Assembly Manners and Best Cafeteria Manners. For the month of January, the Cleaniest Classroom went to Ms. Katrina's Pre-K class. The Best Assembly Manners went to Mrs. Harris's 1st Grade class. The Best Cafeteria Manners went to Ms. Seibert's 1st Grade class. Great job, Nike Scouts!

Today was World Read Aloud Day and Nike Scouts enjoyed reading many books today. Ms. Seibert's class had guest readers and did some flashlight reading in small groups. Mrs. DeWitt's class listened to the Three Billy Goats Gruff live on storyvoice, read by the author and illustrator, then the illustrator did a directed drawing with the students.

Ms. Seibert's class had 48 puzzles donated to their class. They have been working together to complete them! These Nike Scouts love puzzles and are very grateful for all the donations to their class. #MVNation

Ask your child about hand/eye coordination. In younger grades, student are working on using their hands to keep the balloon in the air. Today, second grade used ping-pong paddles and pickleball paddles to keep balloons in the air. The goal is for classes to eventually play pickleball in PE.
