Nike had another Watch D.O.G at school today! He enjoyed giving lots of high fives. Reach out to the office, if you're interested in signing up for the Watch D.O.G. program. #MVNation
We were lucky to have another WatchDOG spend the day at Nike Elementary. He walked the building, sat with students at lunch, played with students at recess, went into classrooms, and helped with Thanksgiving baskets. #mvnation
Kindergarten read a book about being thankful and then filled out thankful leaves as a class. What are you thankful for? #mvnation

Franklin County Sheriff Deputies were at Nike this morning to greet our students with a high five and good morning! This was part of their "Open Doors" program. Our Nike Scouts were excited to see the deputies and give big high fives. Thank you to the deputies for braving the cold and putting a smile on our students faces. #MVNation

Fourth graders typed their final draft of their Missouri Day essay today. They have been working hard on their brainstorming, rough draft, and final draft.

Second grade had their writers celebration today. Students shared their writing with three friends in class and then those classmates wrote positive notes about the story. #mvnation
Third grade is learning about rights and responsibilities of citizens. Ask your child what their rights and responsibilities are! #mnvation
Fourth grade is also reading about Native Economics within the Eastern Woodlands Indians. Ask them what they learned today! #mvnation

Yesterday 4th grade Nike students were operating banks, managing businesses, writing checks, investing in stocks, and earning a profit at JA BizTown! What a great day!! We were lucky enough to share the trip with Coleman and Truman 4th grade students. You might find a few friends from others schools in these pictures.
