Riverbend Middle School students in Mrs. Vogt's Culture and Language class recently researched a famous Spanish person, creating informational posters that were hung in the hallway. The class then did a gallery walk and used sticky notes to leave positive comments on the posters. In this new elective, students have also studied different cultural aspects of French and Spanish. #MVNation
Throughout the holiday season students in the Exploring Community Service class have been hard at work creating holiday cheer. Students created and posted positive message for students in our Riverbend Community. The goal was to bring some joy to students as holiday break approaches.

Christmas Tree Forest is now open. Admittance is FREE! It is located on Osage Street across from Pacific Intermediate. Enjoy the lights along with some hot chocolate. Support local charities by voting with donations for your favorite trees. A Children's activity and photo opportunities are available nightly. You may even see Santa on Friday nights! There's nothing like visiting in-person, but you can vote with your donations ONLINE if not!

Are your children talking to you about the trip information found around the building or in the handouts I was able to give to interested students this week? Is your child interested in traveling to Germany, Italy, and Switzerland? If you have further questions, I would love to have you register to attend the meeting next Wednesday the 6th, @ 6pm. Travel is so much more than just planes and trains! Students will gain new perspectives, develop a sense of independence, and build skills for the future through this experience.
