Network Support

The Meramec Valley R-III School Board approved Network Support I, II, III (Chrome-land Security) Courses for the 2019-2020 school year.  The courses are taught by Justin King a native to the school district.  Mr. King's unique experience in working in the district's technology department proved to be a perfect match for the courses.  Students enrolled in the courses apply problem-solving skills and explore computer maintenance. Students analyze Chromebook problems, install software updates, and repair damaged Chromebooks. The Network Administration students have three main objectives: support of student’s Chromebooks, support faculty and staff with technology needs, and to pursue independent learning pathways in Web Design, Computer Programming, App Development, Communication, Microsoft Office Industry Certification or A+ Networking Industry Certification.  The classes are proving to have a big impact on the support services offered to students, staff, and the technology department.  Students interested in these courses should see their high school counselor during academic planning time to review the course prerequisite and grade level requirements.
