The Meramec Valley R-III School District (MVR-III) announces Erin Lydon-Lorson as the South-Central Missouri School Counselor Association 2021 Elementary School Counselor of the Year. 

Mrs. Lydon-Lorson serves as the school-based counselor at Truman Elementary.  She began her career in the Meramec Valley School District in 2018. Mrs. Lydon-Lorson earned a bachelor’s degree from Truman State University and a master’s in school counseling from Missouri State University.

Wednesday, April 14, 2021, the South-Central Counselor’s Association surprised Mrs. Lydon-Lorson with the recognition at their monthly meeting. Mrs. Lydon-Lorson had several nominations from her co-workers and area counselors. Dr. Jenna Sladek, Truman Principal said “Mrs. Erin Lydon-Lorson serves others through her leadership. She is always the first one to step in and offer a kind word, a helping hand, and a warm heart. Mrs. Lydon-Lorson brings a smile to our school each day. She treats everyone with value, importance, and compassion. Her heart is warm, her mind is bright, and her inner light shines for all to see.”

Mrs. Lydon-Lorson may advance to the Missouri’s State School Counselor of the Year for 2021 through the Missouri School Counselor Association.  MVR-III School District congratulates Mrs. Lydon-Lorson on her recognition.
