Bradfisch New Varsity Boys’ Basketball Coach

The Meramec Valley R-III School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Cody Bradfisch as Pacific High School’s head varsity boys’ basketball coach for the 2020 season.  Bradfisch was approved by the Board of Education on Monday, March 23rd.

Coach Bradfisch brings 8 years of coaching experience to Pacific High School’s boys’ basketball program.  Bradfisch most recently held the assistant varsity boys’ basketball coach position at Warrensburg High School in Warrensburg, Missouri.  Prior to Warrensburg High School, Coach Bradfisch coached women's’ basketball at Thomas University in Thomasville, Georgia.

Bradfisch brings to Pacific’s basketball program leadership skills, work ethic, and dependability, all of which he’s modeled at his previous coaching positions.  Pacific High School Activities Director, Andy Herbst, says “We are excited to have Cody join our district, our boys’ basketball program and community.  Coach Bradfisch is passionate, organized, and has a strong desire to be successful.  He will have a positive impact on Pacific High School and the boys’ basketball program.” Coach Bradfisch is succeeding longtime head coach, John VanLeer, who manned the helm for the past 27 years. MVR-III welcomes Coach Bradfisch and looks forward to supporting him as we continue the program’s tradition of success.

Coach Bradfisch had this to say about coming to the Meramec Valley R-III School District, “In all of my interactions with the district it was clear there were three distinct characteristics. It is a great place to educate students with the resources needed to provide an engaging curriculum, there is an established track record of having a supportive administration, and a family-like atmosphere to build life-long relationships in the classroom as well as on the court. I am very grateful and excited to join the district!”

A meeting with parents and players will be established once COVID-19 social gathering restrictions are lifted. In the meantime, Coach Bradfisch will begin to reach out to the families of current high school players to introduce himself.
