TROWER ACHIEVES ADVANCED CERTIFICATION

Matt Trower, president of the Meramec Valley R-III Board of Education, has achieved Advanced Certification in the Missouri School Boards’ Association (MSBA) certified board member program.  The program established by Missouri School Boards’ Association recognized school board members who choose to complete additional professional development requirements beyond the 16 hours required by the Outstanding Schools Act of 1993.  To achieve Advanced Certification, board members must earn at least 12 additional training credits, read two books related to school board service, attend at least two MSBA regional or statewide events and write an essay relating their studies to their board service.

Those members achieving Advanced Board Member Certification will be recognized for engaging in ongoing professional development to improve the knowledge and skills they need to function as effective educational leaders in their communities during the MSBA Leadership Summit in June.

The Missouri School Boards’ Association is a private, not-for-profit organization that exists to help public schools succeed.
