Josh Grodie Special Education Director 23-24

During the regularly scheduled March school board meeting, Mr. Josh Grodie was named as the Meramec Valley R-III Special Education Director for the 2023-24 school year. He will begin his new role in the district on July 1.

Mr. Grodie has worked in MVR-III since 2008.  He is currently in his second year as assistant principal at Pacific Intermediate, and he spent the 3 years prior as a special education instructional coach & district behavior specialist. He began his career as a middle school special education teacher and has worked in various other capacities for MVR-III, including department chair and summer school administrator.

A graduate of Pacific High School, Mr. Grodie possesses a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He has also earned Master’s of Educational Administration and Superintendent Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degrees from Missouri Baptist University, where he is currently working on his Doctorate.

“We are excited to have Mr. Grodie step into this position,” said Dr. Ketina Armstrong, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning. “His existing relationships with our special education staff, wealth of experience advocating for students, and strong history in the district will make for a smooth transition for MVR-III.”
