PHS HOF 2025 (2-1)

The Pacific High School Hall of Fame will welcome five new inductees during a ceremony on Friday, October 17.

The event is open to the public and will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the PHS Auditorium. This year’s inductees include Larry Carter, Randy George, Kirk Lueken, Austin Repp, and Rob Schimsa.

“We invite our entire community to join us in celebrating the achievements of our Hall of Fame inductees and the rich history of Pacific High School,” said Meramec Valley R-III School District Activities Director Blair Thompson. “We are thrilled to celebrate these incredible individuals who have made a big impact on our school community over the years. It’s a wonderful way for us to come together as a community during homecoming.”

Carter dedicated more than 30 years to education, serving as a music teacher and administrator. He spent 19 years at MVR-III, including as assistant principal at Meramec Valley Middle School and principal at Coleman Elementary. Carter retired in 2016, but has remained a familiar presence in the community, lending his voice as the announcer for PHS athletic events and emceeing numerous community celebrations. His lifelong dedication to students and the community has left a lasting impact.

George spent his entire 34-year career in MVR-III, where he served as a teacher, principal, and ultimately superintendent. A 1978 PHS graduate, he returned to the district after earning his education degree and began as a special education teacher. He later became principal at Robertsville and Zitzman Elementary Schools before moving to central office as assistant superintendent and then superintendent in 2005, a position he held until his passing in 2016. George also was highly involved in the community, serving on local boards, coaching youth sports, and supporting civic organizations.

Lueken dedicated 30 years to MVR-III, serving as an educator, coach, and mentor. He coached wrestling for more than three decades and earned recognition as the St. Louis Wrestling Officials Assistant Coach of the Year in 1999. He also coached football and led the Pacific Wrestling Little League for nearly thirty years. Additionally, Lueken served with Special Olympics Missouri for more than three decades, first as district manager and later as assistant district manager, where he championed inclusion and empowerment for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

A 2014 graduate of PHS, Repp made his mark as one of the school’s most accomplished wrestlers. A four-time state qualifier, he placed third as a sophomore and went on to win back-to-back state championships as a junior and senior. Repp still holds the PHS single-season and career records for wins, pins, and team points, along with Missouri state records for most pins in a season and career. After competing at Northern Illinois University, he returned to Pacific to coach wrestling, serving as an assistant varsity coach for five seasons and continues to support the program.

Schimsa, a member of the PHS Class of 1990, built a lasting legacy as both an athlete and coach. A standout three-sport athlete, he earned All-Conference honors in football, wrestling, and baseball, capped by recognition as Pacific Sports Club Athlete of the Year and a St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete his senior year. Schimsa later returned to Pacific as a teacher and coach, leading the wrestling program from 2002 to 2019 with 240 dual wins, nine conference titles, 31 state medalists, and four state champions. He also coached football, pioneered the girls golf program, and continues to serve as a respected wrestling official.

The induction ceremony will take place during PHS homecoming festivities on October 17. The homecoming parade will begin at 2:30 p.m., with the Hall of Fame Class of 2025 serving as grand marshals. Later, the PHS varsity football team will host Herman at 7:00 p.m., and halftime will feature a special presentation honoring the inductees.
