Alois (Al) Kirchhofer Named Chief Financial Officer

The Meramec Valley R-III School District is pleased to announce Alois (Al) Kirchhofer as the new Chief Financial Officer beginning July 1, 2020. Kirchhofer’s hire was approved by the Meramec Valley R-III Board of Education on Wednesday, May 20 and he will replace Dr. Jeff Haug who will be transitioning to the Special School District of St. Louis to fill a similar role.  Kirchhofer has served as a managing partner of Daniel Jones & Associates Certified Public Accountants for the past 18 years, with much of his duties focused on performing school and governmental audits. Prior to that, he served as the Chief Financial Officer for both the Hancock Place and Ladue School Districts. 

MVR-III superintendent, Dr. John Mulford, noted, “ We are excited to welcome Mr. Kirchhofer to our team at MVR-III. He brings a wealth of experience from both the school finance and auditing perspectives that will certainly benefit our school district.”  

Kirchhofer has conducted over 400 Missouri school audits and has been contracted by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to perform audits of federal programs. Kirchhofer’s primary duties will be to oversee the financial operations of the MVR-III School District. “I am excited to join the fantastic administrators and staff at Meramec Valley R-III School District and be part of the team. I look forward to the opportunity to serve this district and community and support the school district’s exemplary results for the academic success of all its children,”  Kirchhofer said after being voted in by the Board of Education.
