International Peace Poster Contest Winners with drawings.

Riverbend Middle School students were recognized Thursday, February 19, during a meeting of the Pacific Lions Club for their outstanding achievements in the Pacific branch of the International Peace Poster Contest!

These talented students were the top three winners:

  • Katelyn Esparza – First place

  • Anna Miriani – Second place

  • Uriel Grandados Tula – Third place

The International Peace Poster Contest, sponsored by Lions Clubs International, encourages middle school students to creatively express their vision of peace through original artwork. Each year, students from around the world participate in local competitions sponsored by Lions Clubs, with winners advancing through higher levels of competition.

During the February 19 meeting, the Pacific Lions Club honored the Riverbend students with a celebratory dinner, recognition certificates, and prize money in recognition of their exceptional work. The event provided an opportunity for Lions Club members, families, and community members to celebrate the students’ artistic talent and thoughtful interpretations of the contest theme.

Riverbend Middle School is proud of Katelyn, Anna, and Uriel for representing their school and community with such creativity. Their accomplishments highlight the important role the arts play in encouraging student voice.

Congratulations to these outstanding students on this well-deserved recognition!
