Christmas Tree Forest

The 2022 edition of the Christmas Tree Forest fundraiser opens soon. Organized and run by staff and students from the Riverbend Middle School Christmas Tree Club, this event provides a fantastic opportunity to give back to the MVR-III community.  Christmas Tree Forest is located near Pacific Intermediate at 910 W. Osage (directly across the street from Pacific Fire Protection District Station 1) and will welcome visitors Monday-Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM December 1st through 21st.

Participating groups enter and decorate themed trees to raise funds for a chosen charity, organization, or team. Visitors may vote for favorites by placing donations in a provided envelope, marking the tree number, and dropping it in the lockbox. Each dollar donated counts as one vote (enter as many votes as you would like!), and the organization that entered the tree keeps all monetary votes for the chosen charity.  A new feature being considered this year is the opportunity to vote and donate online.

Established in 2018 under the name Christmas Tree Circle, the event was originally located on the Pacific Intermediate track and field area.  It received 25 entries and raised nearly $900 for local charities.  The 2019 version experienced both a location and name change, moving to the current site as Christmas Tree Forest.  The total raised for charity in 2021 increased to $1,888.37, and the 2022 goal is to reach $2000 in donations.
