Bonds are for Building - One of the final building projects made possible by passage of the Prop 1 bond issue has nearly been completed. Students and staff are now able to utilize the Library Media Center space provided by renovations to the old Zitzman Elementary gym. #MVNation

Coleman Elementary fourth-graders recently celebrated Idiom Day. After learning about the use of this figurative language, students created costumes and dressed up to see if others could guess which idiom was represented. Our students? Smart Cookies! https://youtu.be/EbSXurp_nYo #MVNation


Nike Elementary first graders recently experienced a week at Camp Comprehension, filled with camping-themed stations & book readings. Students worked on comprehension activities that mark good readers, such as asking questions while reading, retelling the story, visualizing what is happening, making connections, and talking about how characters might feel. #MVNation

Dozens of Pacific High School students attended the Four Rivers Career Center Awards Ceremonies over the past week. Students were recognized for completing programs like Auto Tech, Building Trades, CAPS, Collision, Graphics, Health Occupations, IT, Machine Tool, Teaching Careers, and Welding. CTE certifications and Perfect Attendance awards were presented, with some students even earning items like tool bags and welding helmets to help begin their careers. PHS student Mason Lucas was selected to speak about what the FRCC program meant to him. Great job to all, and good luck in your futures! #MVNation





Pacific Intermediate fifth-grade student Daisy Fearn earned the title of Co-Champion this past weekend at the Regional Spelling Bee, hosted by East Central College. Daisy, representing MVR-III as our middle school champ, competed against 25 other spellers. After more than 3 hours (ending with a 45-minute one-on-one showdown against an 8th grader), she was recognized as co-champion. This result was the first tie in ECC Regional Spelling Bee history. Daisy brought home a trophy, medal, tee-shirt, & champions cup. Way to go, Daisy! #MVNation

The Pacific Eagles Aerie #3842 holds an annual spring BBQ to support the Meramec Valley R-III School District meal program. B&H Market assisted by donating the meat for the BBQ. Funds donated assist families who apply for meal assistance but don’t qualify for the free and reduced meal program. Dan McClain and Jerry Eversmeyer presented the check to Dr. Carrie Schwierjohn at the April Board of Education meeting. Once again, #MVNation goes above and beyond!


PHS Cheerleading was recently recognized by the MVR-III Board of Education for placing 1st at State for Time-Out Cheer, 2nd at State for Game Day, 2nd at Regionals for Overall Performance, & 7th at Nationals in Small-Intermediate Non-Tumbling. The team is coached by Casey Cowsert & Alicia Clayton. Congrats! #MVNation
