MVR-III teachers graduated from the 2022 Teacher’s Academy in Character Education. The academy focuses on two goals. The first is to inspire a personal commitment to character values as a teacher and further strengthen the noble purpose all educators share. The second is to equip teachers with character development best practices and evidence-based methods for building positive character skills in students.

Coleman, Nike, Robertsville, and Truman Schools are being prepped for summer construction thanks to the passage of Proposition 1. The schools are getting updated secure vestibules as an addition to the district’s security plan. Secure vestibules provide additional protection by adding a secured space for visitors. Summer Discovery begins tomorrow, Wednesday, June 1st. Parents may access bus routes off the district website under Summer Discovery. The Eye Thrive van will be available to MVR-III families on June 3rd and June 23rd at the Peace Pantry in Cedar Hill. They will provide FREE eye exams and glasses on-site for ages 4-18.

This week the JROTC cadets traveled to Daytona, Florida to compete in the National Academic & Drill Championship competition. PHS is only 12 of 253 programs nationwide selected to participate in the match. This is the second time in twenty years that Pacific has qualified for the event. Nancy Omer, Route 66 Mural Project Coordinator, recently met with PHS art students to participate in the community mural project. Students were challenged to create authentic artwork depicting historical times that relate to the area along with the significance of Route 66 to the region. One piece of artwork that may be displayed on the mural is the piece created by Alli Shouse. The mural project is to help celebrate the 100 anniversary of Route 66. #community #MVNation
