MVR3 District Message: After driving the school district roads this evening, we have quite a mix of covered and uncovered roads. The covered roads are primarily ice and black ice. It is our understanding that county road crews won’t be out until tomorrow morning. As always, student safety is our priority, so given current road conditions, all schools including the School Age Child Care programs will be closed, Tuesday, November 12, 2019.

MVR3 School Update: With temperatures continuing to drop & tomorrow’s temps predicted to remain below freezing, it will be a situation where a final determination won’t be made until the early morning. District Admin will be out early checking roads. As always, if roads are safe for buses to travel then school will be in session. In the meantime, we encourage parents to have a contingency plan just in case school has to be canceled at the last minute. Be safe, and we hope to see all of our students & staff tomorrow.

MVR-III update on the winter weather advisory that our area is under until tomorrow afternoon. Here’s the plan based on what we know at this time: 1. Currently, the rain isn’t supposed to change to snow until after the morning commute. 2. Once the snow arrives, accumulation is expected to be limited to grassy areas with little to no accumulation on roads. 3. The winter weather advisory is currently set to end around dismissal time. Given what we know at this point, we expect to be in session tomorrow and we think we should be able to attend a full day. Of course, we will be up early checking roads and the updated forecast. If anything changes that would keep us from having school, we’ll let you know as early as we can. Don't forget to wear your red, white, and blue for Veterans Day.
