Pacific High School students in Intro to Wood class were highly engaged as they worked on their individual builds! ๐Ÿชต

Through this process, students learned how to design, plan, measure, cut, and apply joinery skills while creating either a bench or a stool. They also practiced finishing techniques, including assembly and staining, to bring their projects to completion.

A strong sense of pride was evident in Mr. Millerโ€™s class as students focused on craftsmanship and made each project their own! ๐Ÿ‘

5th graders at Pacific Intermediate took on the challenge of classifying shapes through their Quadrilateral Posters. ๐Ÿง

Students stepped into the role of math detectives, looking for parallel sides, right angles, and equal lengths to sort each shape into the correct family.

Along the way, they organized specific groups to see how they all connect:
โžก๏ธ Quadrilaterals
โžก๏ธ Trapezoids
โžก๏ธ Parallelograms
โžก๏ธ Rectangles
โžก๏ธ Rhombuses
โžก๏ธ And squares!

This hands-on activity helped students visualize that a square is more than just a squareโ€”it is also a rectangle, a rhombus, a parallelogram, and a quadrilateral!
