Student researchers at Pacific Intermediate have been hard at work tracking the top 10 winningest countries in the Winter Olympics—and following the most popular winter events! 🥇

Each day, our math-letes stay engaged by:
✅ Updating their graphs with the latest medal counts
✅ Finalizing event podiums as results come in
✅ Researching data on historical Olympic trends

This real-world connection to math keeps learning exciting, relevant, and fun!

Riverbend Middle School students were recognized on February 19 during the Pacific Lions Club meeting for their outstanding achievements in the Pacific Branch of the International Peace Poster Contest! 👏

These talented students were the top three winners:

⭐️ Katelyn Esparza, 1st place
⭐️ Anna Miriani, 2nd place
⭐️ Uriel Grandados Tula, 3rd place

Students were celebrated at the Lions Club meeting with dinner, recognition certificates, and prize money!

Zitzman Elementary 1st graders wrapped up their History of the Earth unit with a celebration. Students became paleontologists for the day, carefully excavating a dinosaur hidden inside a rock! 🦖

Students in Miss Murray’s 3rd grade class at Zitzman Elementary are building their multiplication fluency and putting their skills to the test!

Today, we recognize Cameron Dixon and Nancy Lewis, and one of their favorite school memories. 💜

Students in Mrs. Brunjes’s 3rd grade math class at Zitzman Elementary worked collaboratively to explore shapes with equal parts!

Students strengthened their understanding of fractions while building problem-solving skills. 📐

English II A students at Pacific High School recently participated in a fine arts gallery walk to deepen their understanding of Julius Caesar. 🎭

As they explored a variety of artistic depictions, students analyzed elements such as color palette, lighting, materials, facial expressions, and gestures. They then connected those observations to what they have learned about Caesar’s character through their reading of Shakespeare’s play.

This activity created thoughtful discussion as students brought literature and visual art together! 🎨

The Meramec Valley R-III School District has named Alison McAtee as the next principal of Pacific Intermediate School. 🎉

Mrs. McAtee has served the district since 2003 and has been assistant principal at Pacific Intermediate since 2023. She brings more than 20 years of experience in education, including roles as a secondary instructional coach, English language arts teacher, teacher of the deaf, and speech implementer.

The Board of Education approved her appointment to begin in July, and she looks forward to leading Pacific Intermediate into the 2026-27 school year. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. McAtee on her new role and continued service to our students, staff, and families! 👏
